HENRICO KITCHEN REMODEL PROJECT
MIDLOTHIAN KITCHEN REMODEL PROJECT
We are pleased to introduce you to one of our valued clients who graciously provided a review of their recent Midlothian kitchen remodel. While we are eager to share the technical details of this transformation, our greatest pride lies in the satisfaction of our clients with the final results.
TOUR THIS MIDLOTHIAN KITCHEN REMODEL
This kitchen underwent a comprehensive remodel. The cabinet layout was tweaked a little but the floor plan remained the same. Seven inch Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) flooring by COREtec in the elegant Ivory Coast Oak finish was installed. Low maintenance, durability and affordability make LVP a popular choice in flooring for your entire home.
The previous kitchen was characterized by a dark and outdated aesthetic, which prompted a complete redesign, as illustrated in the accompanying photographs.
The outdated kitchen underwent a comprehensive design phase, as illustrated in the following photographs. This is the most important step in the entire process. 3D renderings are a great way to visualize your new design. Changes are much easier and much less costly in this phase.
During this transformation, the doorway between the family room and kitchen was widened to facilitate easier access, enhancing the overall flow of the space. Additionally, the outdated fluorescent lighting was replaced with modern recessed LED fixtures, complemented by elegant glass pendant lights suspended over the peninsula, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere.
The stunning pattern and subtle color of the Fantasy Brown, Dolomite countertops serve as a striking focal point, elevating the overall design in this Midlothian kitchen remodel.
To enhance functionality, a section of the wall separating the kitchen from the dining room was removed, allowing for an extended countertop that accommodates a beverage cooler and a dedicated coffee station.
The cabinetry selection is equally impressive, featuring maple cabinets with the upper units lightly stained in Boardwalk and the lower units painted in a rich Maritime hue. Seeded glass adds a custom touch and helps distinguish the beverage station from the rest of the kitchen. Accessing items deep in the lower cabinets can be difficult. Drawer units are becoming increasingly popular. They provide easier access and more functional storage.
In this Midlothian kitchen remodel, the tile backsplash was taken to the end of the countertop. Choosing where to end the backsplash is a personal preference. Some designers and homeowners choose to extend it to the end of the countertop to eliminate the possibility of wet and damaged drywall in highly used areas. Others choose to end it at the upper cabinets. The choice is yours. Both options are considered acceptable.
For added durability and a cohesive look, the window sills were crafted from the same material as the countertops. Dolomite is easier to maintain than a painted surface and eliminates the need for touch ups as paint may begin to chip.
Over the past two decades, Aaron and his team of skilled remodeling contractors have successfully assisted numerous homeowners in Midlothian and the surrounding areas with their kitchen, bathroom, and basement renovations.
